How are we different?
You may be aware of "panic button" systems which are useful in emergency situations, if they are used. CareConnectMe is unique because if your loved one is confused, unconscious, not able to reach a phone or not wearing their "panic button" device, you will still be alerted if there is a problem. Use CareConnectMe alone or as the perfect companion to a "panic button" device and be assured that your loved ones are okay, everyday. (top)
Do I need to buy or install any equipment?
Our services are activated instantly over existing phone lines, which means there is no installation of equipment, no set up fees and no additional charges. (top)
Is a lengthy contract required?
Our services are so flexible that only 1 weeks notice is all that is required, this means that a person can benefit from as long or as as short a time as needed. (top)
Can I use CareConnectMe to care for more than 1 person?
Yes. One can use their account to set up as many Care Receivers as they like. (top)
What information do I need to start using CareConnectMe?
1.The name and landline or mobile number of the person for whom you would like to receive our safety/reminder calls.
2. Your care contacts name, email and mobile number. (top)
When can I start using CareConnectMe after payment?
Once your payment has been taken, you can start using our services immediately after logging into your account. (top)
How does CareConnectMe know who to contact in an emergency?
We will notify your assigned Care Contacts immediately in the event of an emergency. 1-6 Care Contacts can be set and they can be amended and updated by you at any time. (top)
Can I or my Care Contacts chose how notifications are sent?
Yes, in the Care Contacts page in your Account area of the website, you can chose whether your Care Contacts receive notifications via email, sms or both. (top)
I want to use CareConnectMe to care for my parents but I live outside of the U.K., can I still receive notifications?
Yes, you can receive email notifications and we suggest you also assign a local UK Care Contact. (top)
Do I have to pay extra for notifications?
No, all price plans include email and sms notifications to chosen care contacts (top)
Can alert notifications be sent more than 1 person?
Yes, each CareConnectMe user can have up to 6 care contacts who will receive notifications if you chose. (top)
I don't have a mobile phone - can I still receive alert notifications?
Yes, you can receive email notifications and most landline phones can receive SMS text message and convert them into a spoken message. (BT calls this text to voice). No extra cost is chargeable for this service. (top)
I don't have access to the internet, does that matter?
Not at all. CareConnectMe Calls can be set up by either your family, Care Contacts or our Customer Care Team. The Care Receiver does not need access to the internet, but you may find it useful if your care contacts do (top)
Is it hard to cancel the next morning, evening, weekend calls etc?
Not at all, you or your Care Contacts can cancel a call via your online account, or you can contact the Customer Care Team to cancel a call for you. (top)
